Bring the passport, not a copy
It is checked at the Terracotta Army museum entrance. This is the single most common reason a guest is turned back at the gate, and it applies on both of our Xi’an days.

西安一日游
Two English-guided days from the same lobby at the same hour: the full first day across all three headline sights, or the focused Terracotta Army run with no shopping stops. Published prices either way.
Join-in departures
Guided in English, with a published price you can quote straight to a client and a fixed meeting point in the centre.
The two overlap on purpose. Both leave the Bell Tower Hotel lobby at 09:00 and both put the Terracotta Army in the morning; the difference is whether the afternoon belongs to the pagoda and the city wall, or to you. If the warriors are the only thing on the list, the six-hour day is $40 cheaper and has you back in the centre by three.
Planning notes
The things that decide whether a day works, written for whoever is building the itinerary rather than for a brochure.
It is checked at the Terracotta Army museum entrance. This is the single most common reason a guest is turned back at the gate, and it applies on both of our Xi’an days.
The site is about an hour out of town and considerably less pleasant once the afternoon coaches arrive. Both days are sequenced around that, which is also why the full day ends on the city wall — better light, and you finish back inside the centre rather than an hour outside it.
Day tours in Xi’an have a reputation for detours into shopping stops that are paid for by commission rather than by the guest. Neither of ours has any. The coach goes to the museum and back.
XIY has the flights, but the high-speed line is what makes Xi’an work in a series — it sits on the rail spine between Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, so a Xi’an night rarely costs a program a flying day. Two nights is the usual shape: one for the warriors, one for the wall and the Muslim Quarter.
Gateway airports: XIY. Entry rules — full visa, visa-free, or the 240-hour transit window — are set out on our visa pages.

Multi-day
A join-in seat is the shelf product. Most of what we operate here is one leg of something longer.
Xi’an is not on our published multi-day shelf yet — it is almost always briefed as an insert between Beijing and the south. Send the routing and we will price the leg. See the published journeys →
Beyond the shelf
What we publish is a fraction of what we operate. Most of it is briefed.
Same sites, your own vehicle and guide, paced to your client rather than to a coach timetable.
Brief a private day →Xi’an as one leg of a multi-city program, white-labelled under your brand with net rates.
Agent services →Airport meets, venue shuttles, and culture blocks layered onto a conference or incentive shell.
MICE delivery →Send your market and monthly volume — we return net rates, allotment terms, and white-label vouchers.
We use analytics cookies to see which pages and tours agents actually use, so we can improve them. They are off until you accept. Declining changes nothing about the site — the enquiry form works either way. Privacy notice.
