En quoi consiste ce voyage

Identical to the standard five-day until the last morning, which stops being a transfer and becomes a half-day: Xintiandi, the Jade Buddha Temple, and an optional swap to the Shanghai Museum or to shopping before the airport. It carries an extra guide day and it is a genuinely full final day, so it needs a departure flight late enough to survive it. Sell it where five days has to cover both Shanghai lines plus Zhouzhuang and Suzhou.

Jour par jour

  1. 1

    Jour 1 — Arrival in Shanghai

    Your driver meets you with a name board and transfers you to your hotel. Nothing else is scheduled — the day belongs to the flight.

  2. 2

    Jour 2 — Shanghai in one day

    Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the transparent gallery · Shanghai History Museum · Yu Garden and the old town · lunch at your own expense · the Bund · Nanjing Road. No river cruise on this build.

  3. 3

    Jour 3 — Shanghai to Zhouzhuang, on to Suzhou

    Zhouzhuang water town: the Twin Bridges, Shen’s House, Zhang’s House and a paper-cutting workshop · lunch at your own expense · on to Suzhou for the night.

  4. 4

    Jour 4 — Suzhou, and back to Shanghai

    Lingering Garden · Panmen scenic area · lunch at your own expense · Tiger Hill, the Yunyan pagoda and the Sword Pool · back to Shanghai for the night.

  5. 5

    Jour 5 — Shanghai, and departure

    Xintiandi in the former French Concession · Jade Buddha Temple · optionally the Shanghai Museum or time for shopping instead · transfer to the airport or the station.

Notes opérationnelles

  • Yu Garden closes on Mondays. Tell us the arrival date and we will move the Shanghai days around it rather than dropping the garden.
  • Client hotels are quoted separately, against your room-type brief.
  • The last day only works with an afternoon or evening departure. Send the flight number with the brief.
  • Take the standard five-day instead if the client wants a slow last morning.
  • Rates do not apply over the China International Import Expo or Chinese New Year. Other major trade fairs are usually fine at more than a month's notice.
  • Booked inside a fair week, vehicles and guides get scarce and pricing moves with the market.
  • Large groups may need a luggage vehicle, which is quoted on top.
  • An evening meal or an evening activity adds a guide and vehicle surcharge.
